I have received early reports that some users on non-English systems cannot open files with this version. While I am investigating this problem, I'll keep this version in 'beta' status.

Development Roadmap
Below are tentative plans for development of new tools and features in AntConc. If you would like see others, please
feel free to suggest them on the AntConc Discussion List. Note that the grouping of items
is mostly determined by how important I feel the tool/feature is for corpus research (especially in the classroom), and the time it takes to implement.
Status
Description
Under development
Recode the graphics engine to allow for Native OS X appearance.
Coming soon
Drag and drop file handling.
Add the ability to save the results from the 'Plot' tool to an image file.
Generate sampled results (e.g., Every Nth hit in KWIC).
Improve the centering of non-English results in KWIC.
Add more statistical measures
Allow more file import types (e.g., PDF)
Plans for 2012 and beyond
Redesign the database architecture to handle massive corpora.
Use the following method to cite/reference AntConc according to the APA style guide:
Anthony, L. (YEAR OF RELEASE). AntConc (Version VERSION NUMBER) [Computer Software].
Tokyo, Japan: Waseda University. Available from http://www.antlab.sci.waseda.ac.jp/
For example if you download AntConc 3.2.2, which was released in 2011, you would cite/reference it as follows:
Anthony, L. (2011). AntConc (Version 3.2.2) [Computer Software]. Tokyo, Japan: Waseda University.
Available from http://www.antlab.sci.waseda.ac.jp/
Note that the APA instructions are not entirely clear about citing software, and it is debatable whether or not the "Available from ..." statement
is needed. See here for more details.
Online Help
The links below will take you to Google discussion groups on AntConc.
I am now starting a list of books/research papers/websites that discuss or use AntConc extensively.
If you have used AntConc in your study, please send me the information (e.g. author, title, source (APA style), URL),
and I would be happy to list it here.
